Today is not about gardening. Today is about rumtopf.
I started my first rumtopf, with cherries (not local, but the rest of the fruit I put in will be! Peaches, strawberries, blueberries!)Behold:
clean cherries
halved and pitted
and covered in half their weight in sugar to sit overnight, called plumping!
they will end up in this pot, covered in rum!
